During welding, the wire feeder often experiences unsmooth and uneven wire discharge, which can cause difficulties in welding and directly affect welding quality. The weld seam that should be welded at once should often be divided into several sections before welding can be completed. So what are the problems we often encounter in our daily welding? The following experience is for reference only.
The problem that the welding wire machine manufacturer is going to talk about today is that the welding wire is corroded.
Causes: Packaging damage during welding wire transportation, excessive moisture in the welding wire warehouse, excessive humidity, prolonged storage time, and welding wire being stored after being touched by hand.
Cause: During welding, when corroded welding wire enters the wire feeder, the clamping wheel will slip, affecting normal wire feeding. When the welding wire with corroded parts enters the welding gun, due to the increase in the diameter of the welding wire, it will be blocked by the conductive nozzle and cannot be welded. When the current is too high, it will burn the conductive nozzle, resulting in poor weld formation and debris on the surface.
Attention: When opening the welding wire packaging, the welding wire should be checked for rust. Rusted welding wires should be promptly replaced in the welding wire warehouse. The welding wire packaging must not be damaged, the humidity of the welding wire warehouse should be controlled, and the welding wire should be stored 300mm away from the ground and walls. The purchased welding wire should be used first, and the opened welding wire should not be touched by hand.
